Überblick : Die beiden Polizisten David und Sancho werden zu einem Einsatz in eine Madrider Wohnung gerufen. Dort bedroht der Pizzabote Victor die drogensüchtige Elena mit einer Pistole. Während David den jungen Mann zu beruhigen versucht, beginnt Sancho ihn zu provozieren und stürzt sich schließlich sogar auf ihn. Im Handgemenge feuert Victor ab, getroffen wird David. – Vier Jahre später: David ist seit dem Vorfall querschnittsgelähmt und muss im Rollstuhl sitzen. Er ist jetzt mit Elena verheiratet, die von den Drogen weg ist und ein Kinderheim leitet. Der unverletzt gebliebene Sancho lebt immer noch mit seiner Frau Clara zusammen. Als Victor seine Haftstrafe abgesessen hat und wieder auf freiem Fuß ist, beginnt er, sich vehement in das Leben der beiden Paare einzumischen. Denn er hat eine Version des damaligen Ereignisses zu erzählen, die sich von der offiziellen deutlich unterscheidet.
